@ChieftanMews: 2/10: Why do some assume this is a countdown instead of a quiz?
This was the 2nd last of a series of tweets sent out weekly (usually on a Wednesday or Thursday) asking a question, each usually expecting a reply from fans within a week. It seems that this tweet refers to fans expecting something to come of the quiz and thinking that October 14th (a week after #1) would see something happening. The question of ‘what would happen on October 14’ becoming a point of discussion on message boards and on The King of Limbs Part 2.
On Facebook Cheftan Mew added “- Nothing as it seems. – ” to the end of the question.

Of course a clever fan replied stating that the reason was because the numbers started at ten and where going down.. (thus a countdown).
Interestingly it seems to show that Chieftan Mews has read The King of Limbs Part 2, he had previously joked about a theory published on The King of Limbs 2 believing Ims Menoo to mean Semi-Moon where after explaining that Ims Menoo meant nothing of the sort he added (Moon Theory – Ha!) referring to the idea of a lunar release schedule for new material titled the ‘Moon Theory’ on the site.

Mew’s tweeted this while Radiohead where due to kick off the start of their 2012 World Tour in Miami Florida.
The first part of the tweet is addressed to Johnny Brennan the creator of Jerky Boys and Family Guy.
The link takes you to a youtube video taken from The Jerky Boys 2 that appears to be a prank call asking for ‘Pablo Honey to Please come to Florida’
The Jerky Boys are an American comedy duo from Queens, New York, whose routine consists of prank telephone calls and other related skits. Formed in 1989, The Jerky Boys were made up of childhood friends Johnny Brennan and Kamal Ahmed.[1] After Kamal left the act in 2000, The Jerky Boys continued on as a solo act featuring only Brennan, before going on hiatus after the 2001 release of their final album, The Jerky Tapes. The project was resurrected in 2006 and remains active today.
The calls were made by ringing up unsuspecting recipients, or in response to classified advertisements placed in local New York-based newspapers. Each call was made in character, usually with over the top voices influenced by the duo’s family members.[1]
According to their current record label, Laugh.com, the act has sold over 8,000,000 CDs since their 1993 debut.
These days Pablo Honey is better known as the name of Radiohead’s First Album.
According to FeelNumb.com Pablo Honey was named after this skit as ‘Jonny Greenwood got a bootlegged tape of The Jerky Boys in the early ’90s and he and the band listened to it non-stop. They even sampled a snippet in the song “How Do You?” ‘
The second link is to the videoclip for Daytona 500 by Ghostface Killah. The Videoclip is made of footage from Street Racer a cult Anime tv Series from the 80s.

“Daytona 500” is the solo debut single by Wu-Tang Clan rapper Ghostface Killah, featuring The Force M.D.s, Raekwon, and Cappadonna from his 1996 solo debut album Ironman. The title is taken from the most important and prestigious race on the NASCAR calendar: Daytona 500. Released unofficially, the song didn’t chart on any charts but is considered a longtime favorite among Wu-Tang fans. The song was later added to his greatest hits album, Shaolin’s Finest.

Mew’s states that IMS MENOO.. meaning ‘He’s Mental‘ (clearly in a good way) and addresses the tweet to Ghostface Killah’s Twitter Account.
Within 24 Hours he had deleted the tweet along with two others from the same day.

On July 6th Mews tweeted that he was stuck the Ziggurat (http://www.the-ziggurat.com) a old part of the Radiohead website that since In-Rainbows is nothing but a full screen flash video showing a colourful loop of blocks. After repeated pleas for help Mews said that he was ‘set free’ by Supercollider.
Servo states that the contents of The Ziggurat has changed since July 2011 when Mews was said to be in there. You can read about it on Ims Menoo here
It could possibly relate to the fact that The King of Limbs – From the Basement was released on November 9.
While fans had been expecting a webcast of some kind the DVD/Bluray came as a surprise.. though nobody was really that surprised to discover the previously unaired recording of Supercollider as a bonus feature.
There’s no official word on what ‘my buck.’ means, however seeing as it’s often used after ‘ims menoo’ (he’s mental) or peoples name ( @nigelgod that buck, took me out of the final cut ) suggests that it means something like ‘That Man There’.
Ims Menoo first appeared on the official Radiohead website around the time of Hail to the Thief being released. At the time one theory was that it was taking a nod towards the band finishing their recording contract and thus being a anagram for ‘Moon EMI’. (You can see a capture of the site from 2005 via the web-archive Here)
Later with The King of Limbs people latched onto the Moon idea after Ed mentioning on Dead Air Space the fact that it was a Full Moon. People took it to mean that Ims Menoo had to do with a album / news release scheduled around the moon.
Thankfully this was one mystery that Mews himself cleared up, during the Q&A with Chieftan Mews on April 1st 2011 he explained the following:
